Wolfson Museum - Heichal Shlomo
The museum houses approximately 5,000 Jewish ceremonial objects, including archeological items of various periods and styles alongside a permanent exhibition of about 500 objects. The 1,000sqm museum is located at Hechal Shlomo - the seat of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and a world religious center.
Heichal Shlomo, Jerusalem, Israel. Designed by Architect A. Friedman and was ultimately completed in 1982. Titled “The seat of the Rabbinate of Israel”, the Domed Great Synagogue was built with Jerusalem Stone on the exterior and with the finest Italian Marble draping the interior walls.
The Jewish Art Museum houses a Judaica collection which is considered amongst the world's finest. The exhibited objects range from unique archeological objects and artistic gems to mundane items and original documents as well as distinctive religious artifacts - from the past to the present, from the East and the West. Most of the exhibited items have a distinctive story behind them.
