Heichal Shlomo
A short walking distance from King David Street is the former seat of the Israeli Rabbinate and of the Supreme Rabbinical Court. The First Temple building inspired this impressive structure. Next door there is a magnificent synagogue and museum for artistic Jewish holy artifacts.

Wolfson Museum - Heichal Shlomo

The museum houses approximately 5,000 Jewish ceremonial objects, including archeological items of various periods and styles alongside a permanent exhibition of about 500 objects. The 1,000sqm museum is located at Hechal Shlomo - the seat of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and a world religious center.
Heichal Shlomo, Jerusalem, Israel. Designed by Architect A. Friedman and was ultimately completed in 1982. Titled “The seat of the Rabbinate of Israel”, the Domed Great Synagogue was built with Jerusalem Stone on the exterior and with the finest Italian Marble draping the interior walls.
