Jerusalem Holy Sites
Israel is the location of a number of specific places sacred to one or more of the three monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These "holy sites" include the Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, as well as the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. According to United Nation resolutions, these places are part of the "common heritage of humankind" and their significance transcends the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Whatever the political future of the city of Jerusalem and nearby communities, these "holy sites" must be maintained and made accessible to local and international communities. The future of the "holy sites" is of universal and timeless interest.

The Holy City
Rejoice thee with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all that mourn for her. For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river and the glory of the nations like a flowing stream.
(Isaiah 66:10-12)
